Brand system · v1
The mark, the palette,
and the vertical system.
Everything below is rendered from src/styles/tokens.cssand the real brand components. Switch vertical above and the whole page re-tints — that behaviour is the identity, which is why a third vertical costs a token block rather than a redesign.
The mark — Nest Cell
- Reads as
- A nest (woven), a cell(modular) and a container (protective) — at once, without committing to any one industry.
- Construction
- One chevron, rotated 120° and240° about centre. Three gaps at the seams. One path to maintain.
- The centre
- The dot is the tenant, held inside — and the only element carrying accent colour, which is how the mark re-tints for free.
System rule: the centre dot is dropped below 24px. At favicon size it muddies into the chevrons and the hexagon stops reading. TheNestCell component enforces this automatically — the 20px and 16px marks above were not told to hide it.
Wordmark & lockup
Lowercase, tight tracking — all-caps would fight the "nest" warmth the identity rests on. The z takes an angled terminal and the accent colour.Currently a CSS skew, which distorts stroke weight on the diagonal; the production wordmark needs the z drawn as outlines.

Vertical accents
#5535E0#C2410C#BE123CAccent is a graphic colour, not a text colour. Each vertical carries darkened and lightened variants so contrast holds in both themes — Catering's amber in particular fails badly as text on white and shifts to a burnt orange. Components read--ez-accent-text, never--ez-a1.
Typography
Display face substituted. The spec named Clash Display, which is Fontshare-only and not redistributable via npm. This shipsBricolage Grotesque — variable, characterful, and genuinely self-hostable. Swapping back is a one-line change inglobal.css if you download the Clash licence pack.
Motion budget
Bold colour earns its impact from contrast, not from saturating everything — a vibrant hero that resolves into calm content. These are ceilings, not suggestions.
